The Gateway Hotel forms part of the Gateway Theatre of shopping. This hotel provides excellent accommodation and a vast range of nearby entertainment and a huge selection of restaurants including around 380 stores and 38 restaurants. This hotel is situated in the middle of Durban business district and has conference facilities that can accommodate up to 600 delegates making it an ideal location for local conferences.
This hotel is also known as the Green Hotel as they strive to be eco-friendly and this is evident through two main designs. Firstly, the green screen that surrounds the front of the hotel. This is a shading technique that acts as a solar shield as well as an eye-catching design. Secondly, the lights and climate control in the rooms switch off when you leave, saving fuel and electricity.
